Sam Hackler FOUNDER & CO-OWNER [email protected]
Sam Hackler's lifelong interest in art and antiques sparked the inspirations which led him to open New Hampshire Antique Co-op in 1983. Founded and still operating as a group shop, Sam has always strived to create a flourishing, sophisticated antiques and art marketplace by listening to the responses and needs of antique dealers, art buyers and retail customers.
Starting his career as a middle school teacher, Sam soon began working with his father at Hackler Chrysler Plymouth in Jaffrey, NH. Sam eventually moved the dealership to Milford in 1973. A decade later with a passion for entrepreneurship and antiques, he sold the auto franchise and started NHAC with his wife Eileen Gold Hackler. Sam's passion for antiques, love of history and sense of entrepreneurship led him to create NHAC as an inclusive shop emphasizing "something for everyone."
Sam presided over the former Granite State Antique and Appraisers Association and is a founding steering committee member of the Charles Parsons Fund. This fund, established under the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, provides scholarships and grants to further the study of New Hampshire's rich history of fine and decorative arts. In addition, Sam was the past President of the Thorndike Pond Conservation Association, and is presently a principal of the Active Appraisal Group, member of the New Hampshire Antique Dealers Association and serves on the board of the Jaffrey Center Village Improvement Society, focusing on historic preservation.

Jason Hackler MANAGER & CO-OWNER [email protected]
By the early age of seven, Jason’s enthusiasm for antiques and collecting was already apparent. Rocks and minerals were the first finds, carefully catalogued and displayed on his bedroom shelves. Four years later, when his parents, Sam and Eileen Hackler, opened New Hampshire Antique Co-op, Jason shifted his collecting to Americana. Often the youngest bidder at auctions, Jason would accompany his parents on antiquing forays throughout New England. After college, Jason interned at Strawbery Banke Museum (Portsmouth, New Hampshire) and Historic Deerfield (Deerfield, Massachusetts). He also attended the Institute Program at Winterthur (Winterthur, Delaware).
Jason formally joined New Hampshire Antique Co-op full-time in 1994 after he earned a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire. The Hacklers have since focused their energies on expanding the business to include exhibiting at premier antique shows in New England and New York, establishing a custom bench-made furniture line and completing a major expansion of New Hampshire Antique Co-op.
Jason has served as an officer of the Granite State Antique and Appraisers Association, is a founding steering committee member of the Charles Parsons Fund (a New Hampshire Charitable Foundation entity) and has held auctioneers licenses in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Other credentials include principal of the Active Appraisal Group, member of the New Hampshire Antique Dealers Association, past member of the Advisory Council for the Currier Museum of Art, board member of McIninch Gallery at Southern New Hampshire University and past board member at Sharon Arts Center/New Hampshire Institute of Art. Jason also holds a real estate license and specializes in antique and unique properties with architectural and historical significance.

Gregor Bernard OPERATIONS MANAGER & CREATIVE SPECIALIST [email protected]
Gregor is an accomplished freelance illustrator and graphic designer. He is a resident of Milford (just eight minutes from NHAC by bike) and thoroughly enjoys his work at New Hampshire Co-op. His enthusiasm for old things started as a boy spending lots of time at his grandparents' 1765 home in Massachusetts where he would rummage through all the stuff in the attic, barn and sheds. The stories told about the treasures by "Gram and Gramp" are some of his fondest memories.
In addition to assisting customers, you will find Gregor wearing many hats at NHAC. From exhibit installation, merchandising and restoring furniture, to property maintenance and creating content for NHAC's social media, Gregor is always busy making things happen. He also heads his own freelance design and illustration business, which you can visit at gogregor.net.
